The Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW), Austria’s leading non-university research and science institution in Applied Mathematics, is offering a position as

Postdoc (f/m/x) in the Optimization and Optimal Control Group.

 (Full-time employee)

for an initial period of one year, with starting date to be arranged.

The full-time position is affiliated with the Optimization and Optimal Group at RICAM, located in Linz/Austria. 

The hired person will work on optimization and optimal control related to partial differential equations with emphasis on new developments related to machine learning and data science.

• Doctorate related to the above requirements
• Strong background in optimization and partial differential equations
• Strong background in numerical mathematics and computing
• Machine learning skills are welcome
• English skills needed
