Position overview:

As the Customer Technical/Quality Engineer, you're a key member of the Customer Technical Service (CTS) Team, reporting to the Country CTS Manager. You will contribute to the success of Ball by delivering technical support to our valued customers, helping ensure our products perform at their best during filling and packaging. You'll also support our Sales and Manufacturing teams by coordinating trials and resolving quality issues quickly and professionally.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing quality deviations and supporting corrective and preventive actions including creating, maintaining, and analyzing reports
  • Performing data analysis in MS Excel, including evaluations, pivot tables, charts, and structured reporting
  • Supporting assigned customers by managing quality concerns and projects
  • Interface internally and to the customer for technical and quality topics
  • Working directly with customer for new product development and product improvements addressing technical and quality topics
What are we looking for?

  • A degree in Engineering or a related technical field with a strong quality background
  • Solid knowledge of quality processes (complaint management, root cause analysis, KPIs)
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word), especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
  • Strong communication skills- when working with internal teams and customers
  • German and English at least on B2 level and above
  • Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment in a technical role
  • Comfortable working hands-on in manufacturing and production environments
  • Fast learning capability and hands-on mentality
  • SAP or Salesforce experience are welcome
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and practices
