Tasks

Ensure efficient, high-performing, and cost-effective material supply for the facility. Lead Supply Chain Management Experts (SCME), warehouse, and customs teams. Oversee tasks and foster strong communication and collaboration across supply, warehouse, and EMEA material management units.

• Lead and manage SCME, warehouse, and customs teams for aircraft maintenance supply
• Oversee material logistics, customs, and supply chain project tasks
• Monitor KPIs, costs, and team performance; implement corrective actions
• Ensure strong collaboration across departments for smooth operations
• Support training, development, and CI initiatives within teams
• Handle staffing, evaluations, scheduling, and resource planning
• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet project deadlines and KPIs
• Ensure regulatory, safety, and quality compliance in daily operations
• Foster customer satisfaction through effective communication and service
• Adapt to dynamic work needs; travel and flexible hours may be required
• Carry out any other duties required by the company from time to time

Requirements

• University degree (preferably in Economics, Logistics, or Engineering)
• Minimum 5 years experience of relevant professional in material supply and logistics
• Minimum 3 years in leadership position or possess strong leadership skills
• Solid logistics processes knowledge (physical logistics, transport, planning & purchasing)
• Experience in international and virtual team environments
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Confident, assertive, and well-organized
• Strong presentation and training abilities
• Deadline-oriented and proactive
• Proficient in SAP and general IT tools
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Technically inclined and improvement-focused
• Able to work independently and take initiative
• Fluent in English

About Lufthansa Technik Malta Ltd

Lufthansa Technik Malta Ltd. (LTM) was established in 2003 as a joint venture between Lufthansa Technik AG (92%) and Air Malta (8%). The MRO service provider (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul), based at Malta International Airport in Luqa, provides its customers with line and base maintenance services for short haul and long haul aircraft in the Airbus A320/A330/340/350 series. Initially specializing in C Checks and comprehensive aircraft modifications, the company has now significantly expanded its service portfolio following the construction of a 64,000 square meter hangar complex. The spectrum of services offered has grown to encompass extensive maintenance work with wide ranging capabilities including structural and composite fibre repairs, complex testing procedures and comprehensive cabin refits. The 600 strong workforce can work on up to three long haul aircraft or five medium and long haul aircraft at any one time in the new hangar complex, expanded to cater for wide body aircraft. The hangars are used primarily for C Checks and aircraft overhauls. Lufthansa Technik Malta also collaborates with the renowned Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) for the purpose of training and apprenticeship schemes. The strategically favorable location in the Mediterranean region of southern Europe, with its proximity to Africa and to the Arabian Peninsula, gives Lufthansa Technik Malta a special role within the Lufthansa Group.
