Backend Software Developer (m/f/d)

We serve customers from various industrial sectors, e.g. lime industry, aluminum casting, mechanical engineering and testing technology. Our customers are regionally based, but international projects are also realized.

As an IoT software developer, you are responsible for designing, developing and testing software applications for IoT solutions. You work in an environment where the software you develop interacts with physical devices, sensors and actuators, collecting and storing data. The data is transferred to the cloud for processing and storage.

Your profile:

• Computer specialist or bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience in software development, especially in the area of IoT.
• Mastery of programming languages such as C#, Java, Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Understanding network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP and MQTT.
• Familiarity with database systems like SQL and NoSQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Very good communication and collaboration skills.

Your tasks:

• Collaborate with other developers, product managers and engineers to design and develop software for IoT solutions.
• Development and maintenance of software applications.
• Design and implement data collection and transfer protocols for IoT devices to the cloud.
• Development of cloud-based applications for processing and storing data from IoT devices.
• Writing high-quality, well-documented code that is easy to maintain and scalable.
• Design and implement interfaces/APIs to deliver data to client or web applications, on an IoT device and in the cloud.
• Troubleshooting and debugging problems in software applications.
• Staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends in IoT and cloud computing.
