Your Mission as Senior Expert Automatic Transmission Development:

In this high-level position, you will shape and lead the development of cutting-edge automatic transmission systems. You will take responsibility for design optimization, performance enhancement, and technical problem-solving within global project teams. Your expertise will directly impact product innovation and the technological advancement of our client.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the R&D and development of automatic transmission (AT) products, with an emphasis on efficiency, reliability, and forward-looking solutions.
• Solve complex technical challenges and implement design improvements in cooperation with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Drive product innovation and guide the introduction of new technologies and techniques.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across international development teams.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure project success and technical consistency.
• Assist with global knowledge transfer and the adoption of international standards.

Technical Requirements

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field (highly preferred, but not required).
• More than 10 years of experience in R&D or product development roles within leading international benchmark companies. Experience at ZF Friedrichshafen is a significant advantage.
• Proven track record in automatic transmission development, design optimization, and implementation of technical innovations.
• In-depth knowledge of system architecture, simulation tools, and development methods relevant to AT systems.

Personal Attributes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with a practical, hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication in English and strong intercultural competence.
• Demonstrated experience in leading international engineering teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to headquarters in Asia; primary work mode is remote (hybrid possible).
