BioNTech SE is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Clinical Trial Insurance Specialist to manage our global insurance program for clinical trials. The successful candidate will advise internal stakeholders, including Clinical Operations, Legal, and Risk Management, on insurance-related matters for study projects.

• Manage the global insurance program for clinical trials
• Advise internal stakeholders (e.g., Clinical Operations, Legal, Risk Management) on insurance-related matters for study projects
• Coordinate and manage relationships with external insurance partners and brokers
• Review and assess study designs for insurance-relevant risks
• Prepare and maintain policies, certificates of insurance, and proof of coverage
• Support claims handling related to clinical trials
• Verify insurance invoices for accuracy, ensure timely payment, and coordinate with all relevant internal departments and external partners
• Monitor regulatory developments and help design insurance solutions accordingly

• University degree preferentially in law, insurance, business, healthcare or a related field.
• Previous professional experience in insurance, ideally with a focus on clinical trials or life sciences
• Strong knowledge of international insurance requirements and regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU Clinical Trials Regulation, FDA)
• Experience managing global insurance programs and working within risk management processes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with a proactive mindset
• Fluent in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of German is required; additional languages are a plus.
