We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as Senior Director, Global Finance and Transformation. This critical role will drive financial transformation and cost-optimization initiatives, enabling significant cost reductions, operational efficiencies, and sustainable value creation.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Strategic Leadership: Drive financial transformation efforts and strategic realignment initiatives, focusing on cost optimization, operational efficiency, and sustainable value creation to support BioNTech’s long-term growth objectives
• High-Impact Initiatives: Partner with executive leadership to identify, design, and implement cost-saving measures and strategic initiatives that drive financial and operational excellence
• Business Case Development: Develop, validate, and oversee complex business cases across biotech R&D, product supply, and enabling functions, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial goals
• Investment Decisions: Guide strategic investment projects and contribute to post-merger integration, synergy realization, and divestment opportunities, to maximize value creation
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Foster collaboration among senior stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of transformation initiatives across functions and departments
• Financial Analysis: Deliver detailed financial analyses and reporting on strategic initiatives, enabling executive leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions
• Operational Excellence: Identify and execute opportunities for process optimization and automation, leveraging industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies
• Executive Support: Provide strategic insights and decision support tailored to executive-level priorities and considerations

What you have to offer:

• Leadership: Proven track record of successfully leading transformative cost-optimization programs and high-impact cost-saving initiatives
• Education: Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, Natural Sciences, or a related field
• Professional Experience: At least 10 years of experience in business transformation, strategic consulting, and/or corporate finance; experience in post-merger integration, synergy realization, and strategic investment decision-making is highly preferred
• Industry experience: Prior experience in biotech or pharmaceutical companies is preferred, with a strong understanding of the value chain, strategic implications, and operational challenges
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in tools and processes essential for implementation phases of transformation, including business case development and validation. Financial modeling expertise is an advantage
• Strategic Thinking: Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to deliver impactful results at the executive level
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated experience engaging senior management and cross-functional teams effectively
• Language: Fluency in English is required; German proficiency is a plus
