Role overview
You design and develop embedded real-time software for avionics systems. The role combines classic safety-critical development with modern AI/ML approaches in an international aerospace environment.

Your tasks

• Design, develop and maintain embedded real-time avionics software

• Implement AI and deep-learning algorithms for sensor data processing and system enhancement

• Collaborate with hardware, systems and software teams for end-to-end integration

• Ensure compliance with aviation standards (e.g. DO-178C, DO-254, ARINC 653)

• Perform testing, verification and validation of safety-critical software

• Contribute to software architecture and technical decision-making

Your profile

• Degree in computer science, aerospace engineering or a comparable field

• Proven experience in embedded software development for avionics or aerospace

• Strong knowledge of safety-critical development and certification processes

• Experience with C/C++ and/or Ada and real-time operating systems (e.g. VxWorks)

• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks and deep-learning techniques

• Structured, self-reliant working style and strong team skills

• Fluent English required; German is a plus
