In order to support our team, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an
Experienced Test Engineer for Avionics and Weapon Integration (d/f/m)
Our domain, Integration Test and Analysis, belongs to the Center of Competence "Flight and Integration Test Center.” We focus on verifying and integrating (sub-)systems at both test bench and aircraft level—and increasingly, across combined test environments, whether live, virtual, or constructive. From Virtual Testing to "System-of-Systems” testing, our work spans the full spectrum of integration challenges.
You’ll collaborate in an international environment, working with stakeholders across multiple countries. As part of our ambitious and highly motivated team, you’ll engage with cutting-edge technologies, complex systems, and demanding test scenarios that push the boundaries of aerospace innovation.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Review and analysis of avionics system requirements and designs
Definition of test cases, test scenarios, and procedures to verify system requirements
Development of test scripts and automated test procedures
Execution of integration and verification tests on avionics system test benches
Evaluation and documentation of test results including analysis of deviations and generation of system problem reports
Desired skills and qualifications
Degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
5–7 years of experience in (sub-)system integration testing, ideally in the field of fighter avionics
International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification, as well as knowledge in the field of software testing would be a plus
Proficiency in test support systems and tracing tools such as AIDASS, OCTANE, DOORS, JIRA, or Quality Center
Strong interest in complex systems and willingness to continuously learn, especially in test and systems engineering methods, processes and tools
Excellent command of English (written and spoken); good German skills are a plus
