For a project assignment with our well-known, international customer in Manching, we are looking for you as a Simulation Software Engineer.

The team is developing the synthetic environment for different training simulators. They simulate the
tactical and natural environment required for different aircraft simulators in order to provide realistic
training for military pilots. They strive for a common solution which is modular and scalable to fulfil the
needs of multiple different projects. This is why the department refers to the product as Airbus Common
Synthetic Environment (ACSE).
ACSE is currently developed for the Eurofighter pilot training simulation system, SIRTAP and Eurodrone
operator simulators, as well as flight simulators for Military Transport aircrafts pilots.
You work as a Simulation Software Engineer with the followings tasks:

• Support the design of the service-oriented architecture for the Synthetic Environment based on different project needs
• Design and implement services of the Synthetic Environment required by different training simulators in line with stakeholder needs
• Design and implement software interfaces between different services and external systems
• Develop and maintain software solutions in C++ that support operational and technical requirements from various projects to provide a realistic simulation
• Continuous integration and testing of the developed services
• Apply DevOps principles and tools
• Support software verification activities
• Analyse the cause of reported issues and issue fixing
• Documentation of software design, interfaces and tests

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in computer science or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development are mandatory
• Experience in developing distributed / services-oriented systems would be a plus
• Experience in synthetic environments for training simulators is an advantage
• IT: very good knowledge in modern C++ is required
• Knowledge in CMake, Conan, Git, Jenkins and Docker/Podman should be present
• Language skills: English at least business fluent, German knowledge is nice to have
