Join us in shaping a new chapter in Sika’s digital journey—this newly created role of OT Application Manager is your chance to drive meaningful impact from the ground up. You’ll lead the evaluation of existing solutions and define the global application strategy, setting the standards and templates that will guide our Operational Technology landscape across all production sites. Acting as a strategic bridge between Global Operations, Process Owners, and the Global OT organization, you’ll be at the forefront of optimizing processes worldwide.
This role can be based in Mannheim, Frankfurt, Stuttgart or anywhere in south-west Germany with around 50% travelling globally.
- Own and manage the global OT application landscape across all production technologies
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for OT applications in alignment with business needs and Sika’s digital strategy
- Define and document standardized OT processes and digital applications to improve operational efficiency
- Plan and lead the rollout of OT application templates, including support for Greenfield (new sites) and Brownfield (existing sites) projects
- Collaborate closely with local and global teams (Operations, Engineering, Process Owners, OT Business Partners) to ensure smooth implementation
- Ensure proper documentation, cut-over planning, Go-Live support, and Hypercare across all project types
Your expertise - Our strength
- Advanced degree in IT, Engineering, Automation, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in role focused on OT applications (DCS, MES, SCADA)
- Deep, hands-on expertise in DCS, MES, and SCADA systems, and familiarity with PLC, HMI, WMS, and EMS
- Proven track record in a global manufacturing environment; experience in the chemical or food industry is highly desirable
- Fluency in English and German
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel internationally up to 50%
- Strong project management and organizational capabilities
- Demonstrated leadership skills paired with a hands-on, proactive approach
- Independent, reliable, and detail-oriented working style
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
