Key responsibilities

The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

• You are interested in the domain of data analytics, machine learning, numerical simulation, or process simulation.
• You will work on data analytics for industrial applications or development of numerical simulation for process automation.
• You will develop mainly python packages for industrial use cases, with minor C++/C# implementation.
• Close collaboration with our scientists, you will help to design, analyze, and test our software prototypes and algorithms.
• We expect that you show above-average motivation to develop demonstrators and software prototypes and proactiveness to come up with new concepts and ideas on how to overcome possible challenges.
• You might also develop python-based web applications for demonstrating the algorithms and results.

Qualifications for the role

• Enrolled in a Master's program in Natural Sciences (e.g., Mathematics, Physics) or Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Informatics)
• Strong programming skills in Python and shell scripting
• Experience with machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, NumPy)
• Familiar with Git, Linux systems, and shell scripting
• Basic knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and C++/C#
• Nice to have: Experience with Java/JavaScript and Azure Cloud Services
• Fluent English (spoken & written); German is a plus
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
