Your Duties:

• Design, develop, and integrate advanced optical and laser solutions within a dynamic start-up environment
• Perform optical simulations and modelling to optimize system performance
• Develop and implement alignment and calibration procedures for optical components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research, partner companies, system and product development teams
• Conduct system-level testing and validation to ensure performance and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to optics and laser technologies
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation, test plans, and user manuals
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in optics and laser technologies and industry trends
• Foster a can-do culture, continuous innovation thinking

Your Qualifications:

• Completed degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in designing and developing optical and laser systems
• Strong knowledge of optics, laser technologies, and related hardware, including lenses, mirrors, beam splitters, and lasers
• Experience with system integration, debugging, and testing of optical and laser systems
• Experience with laser safety standards and regulation
• Hands-on mentality, proactive approach, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; German skills are a plus
