This position requires deep expertise in Azure Cloud Architecture with a focus on building scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms using Terraform and Azure’s Data & AI services.

You will architect and implement cloud solutions that power next-generation AI and data applications as part of the ai:attack offering of the Siemens Data & AI Cloud (SDC), advise internal teams across Siemens, and ensure reliable operations through automation and best practices.

You’ll break new ground by 

• Being part of a global, diverse AI and data platforms team leveraging cutting-edge technologies to accelerate Siemens' digital transformation
• Designing and implementing Azure architectures using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code principles for AI and data-driven platforms
• Building and integrateing solutions using Azure’s Data & AI stack—including Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory to enable scalable, intelligent, and data-driven applications.
• Enabling and supporting AI teams in building, training, deploying, and scaling models in production (MLOps)
• Providing architectural guidance and collaborating across Siemens on topics like security, cost-efficiency, and performance optimization
• Developing and maintaining cloud automation, CI/CD pipelines, and governance measures
• Ensuring adherence to best practices in infrastructure, monitoring, and security
• Acting as a trusted advisor and technical lead—mentor team members and promote technical excellence
• Engaging and consulting internal users and clients

Your success is grounded in

• Education: A university degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field

• Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud architecture and Terraform-based infrastructure deployment
• Strong knowledge of Azure PaaS services, networking (VNet, subnets, VPNs), and security (e.g. IAM, data protection, WAF)
• Demonstrated experience with Azure’s Data & AI tools—Azure Machine Learning, Synapse Analytics, OpenAI, and Data Factory
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Shell, PowerShell, or Python
• Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.) and MLOps workflows
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g. Docker, AKS)
• A collaborative mindset, ability to work across international teams, and strong communication skills

• Languages: Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Nice to have: Azure certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect, Azure AI Engineer) and experience with cost management and performance tuning of cloud environments.
