Job Description
Give our robots consciousness
In the AI Department, you will develop the cognitive abilities of our robots, enabling them to understand and respond to the world around them. You will work on the algorithms that make machines intelligent and adaptive – from object recognition and language processing to decision-making in complex environments. Here, you will be part of a team that pushes technological boundaries and collaborates closely with other departments such as software, hardware, and product management. Using cutting-edge tools and methods from machine learning and AI, you will work on projects that are directly visible in our products. If you are excited about the idea of making machines more intelligent and thus shaping the next level of human-machine interaction, the AI Department is the right place for you.
Your mission & challenges
- Design, maintain and deploy simulation environments using tools such as Isaac Sim, MuJoCo and similar frameworks
- Integrating simulation pipelines into AI training workflows (e.g., reinforcement learning, robot control)
- Developing scripts and extensions to improve simulation accuracy, automation and scalability
- Implementing workflows for sim-to-real transfer
- Creating and managing synthetic datasets for training and validating AI models
- Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to accelerate the development of real-world robotics solutions
What can we look forward to
- Master's degree in computer science, robotics, computational physics or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in simulation engineering, robotics or AI-driven modeling
- Solid programming knowledge in Python and C++
- Practical experience with Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, PyBullet or similar frameworks
- Knowledge of reinforcement learning frameworks (e.g. RLlib, Stable Baselines) and data workflows
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
- Perfect English skills and ideally good German skills
