Your mission & challenges

• Define and maintain the system test strategy for complex robotic systems across the full development lifecycle (V-model)

• Create and review system test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria based on system and user requirements

• Ensure requirements traceability, test coverage, and quality reporting

• Drive an automation-first testing approach with hands-on involvement (Python-based test automation, Robot Framework for system/acceptance testing, BDD using Cucumber)

• Integrate test management tools (e.g. Xray for Jira) with automated test execution

• Embed system testing into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) to enable continuous testing

• Analyze system-level defects and perform root cause analysis, including network and protocol analysis (e.g. Wireshark)

• Collaborate closely with development and systems engineering teams to improve overall product quality

• Maintain test documentation, guidelines, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes

• Participate in quality gates, release readiness reviews, and acceptance milestones

What we can look forward to

• Master’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable qualification
• 6+ years of experience in system testing, validation, or verification of complex systems (robotics, industrial automation, automotive, or similar domains)
• Strong experience in system test automation with Python
• Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows environments, including virtualization
• Experience with Robot Framework, BDD (Cucumber), Test management tools (e.g. Xray / Jira), Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
• Good scripting skills (Shell required, PowerShell is a plus)
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage and willingness to learn is expected
