Beschreibung

Become part of one of the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructure in data center operations. We are currently expanding our logistics management team and are looking for logistics team leaders who have experience in human resources management and strong technical expertise to advance AWS data center operations in the logistics and supply chain management sector.
You have a profession in logistics or supply chain management and are interested in joining a first-class team and acquiring the skills that further develop our logistics processes in data center operations. You bring an eye to detail, and you have the ability to meet tight deadlines and strive for operational excellence. Then you're right with us!
You will play a central role in our warehouse and distribution network. This work also means that you can tackle yourself. So expect to do everything you expect your team to do: from handling deliveries, to inventory and inventory controls, to inventory and material planning.

Key job responsibilities
SAFETY
Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture.
• You will support the Data Center Operations team by maintaining receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations of parts, consumables and other supplies by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

• Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, Health & Safety and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring safety and security procedures and protocols.

• Working with Procurement and other Regional Logistics Managers, you will control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with inventory management tools.

• Maintain the physical condition of the storage areas by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

We work in a high security environment with sensitive equipment and maintaining this security and accountability will be a primary task.
People Management:

• You will complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning a group of 6-9 direct employees and following up on work results.

• Maintain staffing levels by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

• Maintain Logistics staff productivity and goals by managing and coaching members of their team; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

• Contribute to continuous process improvements to deliver on our goals of high availability and low cost. They maintain up-to-date metrics dashboards and will create reports for management as required.

Be a part of operating the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructure. As a Data Center Logistics Manager, you possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Operational Excellence.
You will be a key part to building success for the storage areas and parts distribution network. This is very much a hands-on role, so expect to be doing everything that you would expect your team to do – from handling deliveries through to cycle counting and inventory planning.

Grundqualifikationen

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain/logistics or related field
- Experience in managing teams
- Experience in procurement, inventory and asset management of IT equipment as well as IT lifecycle
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Can travel and relocate as appropriate
- This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

- Experience in warehouse operations and logistics or equivalent
- Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies
- Knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts
- Experience designing business processes
- Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
