Über diesen Job
Über uns
We are supporting a fast-growing streaming provider in Germany in hiring an experienced Go engineer for their core infrastructure team. The platform delivers live TV, VOD and personalized ads to more than a million users across a wide range of devices.
You will join the team that designs and builds the backend services behind the in-house CDN and ad-tech systems – highly available, low-latency software running at multi-terabit traffic scale.
Aufgaben
Design, build and operate high-performance backend services in Go for content delivery and server-side ad insertion.
Shape and evolve distributed systems that must be fast, resilient and observable.
Work closely with SRE and platform engineers to run services smoothly on Kubernetes.
Extend and improve internal frameworks and libraries that power real-time decision and delivery pipelines.
Develop and maintain APIs (REST and gRPC) that integrate with data, analytics and streaming components.
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Profil
Several years of professional backend engineering experience, including strong hands-on work with Go in production.
Solid understanding of distributed systems: caching, latency/throughput trade-offs, fault tolerance.
Experience with modern networking and web protocols such as HTTP/2; knowledge of CDN concepts or QUIC is a plus.
Proven experience designing and maintaining APIs (REST, gRPC) and event-driven or streaming systems.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and containers (e.g. Docker) in production environments.
Experience with observability tooling (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry or similar).
Comfortable working on Linux systems and debugging performance or networking issues.
Experience in ad-tech, streaming, or other large-scale content delivery systems is an advantage, but not a must.
Good communication skills in English or German.
Willingness to travel to the Munich office roughly once per quarter.
Wir bieten
Remote-first setup: work from anywhere in Germany, with optional office time in Munich.
A product with real impact: TV streaming and personalized ads for millions of users.
Modern, high-performance tech stack and highly scalable infrastructure.
A product-oriented environment with short decision paths and direct impact on architecture and implementation.
Real ownership and responsibility within an experienced engineering team that values collaboration and learning.
30 days of vacation per year.
Flexible working hours and a family-friendly culture.
Personal learning budget (e.g. for conferences, training, books, licenses).
Attractive benefits package, including additional insurance coverage and access to a broad sports & wellbeing program.
