As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll take ownership of complex test rig designs — from concept to build readiness — and work with an interdisciplinary team of experts to push technical boundaries every day.

Verantwortung:

• Design and develop complex mechanical and mechatronic test setups for propulsion and battery systems.

• Create CAD models and assemblies (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and manage documentation.

• Perform calculations and FEA simulations to validate mechanical integrity.

• Drive the full design lifecycle — from concept to build — collaborating closely with test engineers and technicians.

• Select suitable components and manage supplier coordination.

• Support assembly, commissioning, and testing of rigs.

• Contribute to design standards and process improvements within the test department.

Qualifikationen:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field.

• Proven experience in designing test rigs, machinery, or equipment (preferably in automotive, aerospace, or energy).

• Strong CAD and PLM skills (SolidWorks, CATIA, 3DExperience).

• Knowledge of sensors, actuators, and test instrumentation.

• Hands-on mentality and a proactive, structured way of working.

• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
