How you’ll break new ground 

• Within Siemens Common Market Model you will be responsible for determining Siemens Software markets in close collaboration with our businesses. This comprises markets which are currently addressed by Siemens but also identifying adjacencies and monitoring of upcoming new markets and trends.
• You will be a driving force behind our (industrial) software and digital technology strategies.
• Collaborating effectively across Siemens software businesses, Siemens Xcelerator, Foundational Technology, and other functions, you will identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
• You will also play a crucial role in identifying potential investments, M&A pipelines, and strategic partnerships that are in line with our defined strategies.
• To excel in this role, you need to stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, competitive activity, and customer needs. This will enable you to identify growth opportunities and enhance our competitive positioning. 
• You will evaluate emerging digital trends and technologies, and assess their potential impact for Siemens. 
• You will be responsible for leading global strategic market initiatives, working closely with executive leadership to drive our corporate strategy forward. 

Your success is grounded in

• Education
• At least one excellent university degree (bachelor’s/master's/diploma/doctorate) from an outstanding institution, in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.  
• Experience & Skills
• 7+ years of relevant working experience, thereof at least 5 years in a tech or (industrial) software company 
• Broad experience in (industrial) software market and digital technologies (i.e., AI, digital twin, data analytics), key trends and competitive landscape 
• Sound understanding of the tech stack from cloud, edge, to software applications (e.g., PLM, EDA, Operational Software, IOT Platforms) 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate findings effectively 
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on delivering results and driving impact in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment 
• Creative thinking with a passion for developing innovative strategies and a desire to drive positive outcomes  
• Intercultural experience by e.g., participation in international projects and studying or working abroad 
• Languages
• Very good German and English language skills
