Über diesen Job
Lead part of our Munich R&D Embedded Software Platform team (~10) of Mobile Radio Test to evolve our embedded stack into a cloud-ready foundation, shape SDR strategy, partner globally, and own cross-functional Embedded Linux components. You have proven leadership; embedded (Yocto/Zephyr), cloud (AWS/Azure), containers (Docker/Kubernetes/EKS/AKS), plus SDR/5G–6G exposure and strong agile development processes.
Your tasks
- Provide disciplinary and technical leadership and drive the growth and personal development of the R&D Embedded Software Platform team of around 10 employees in Munich.
- Plan and execute the evolution of the embedded platform into a cloud infrastructure–ready platform, including roadmap definition, migration strategy, and rollout in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Shape the platform software strategy underpinning the next generation of Software Defined Radios for mobile radio testing.
- Collaborate closely with international development teams, with a strong interface to product-specific software departments.
- Champion the technological and methodological evolution of our software, fostering innovation, best practices, and engineering excellence across the team.
- Own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cross-functional Embedded Linux platform components.

Your qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, ideally with a focus on communications or information technology.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, inspire, and align cross-functional teams.
- Several years of experience delivering complex software and/or device platforms, with a strong track record in embedded systems including (e.g., Yocto Linux, Zephyr).
- Core cloud expertise: Architecting on a major cloud (AWS or Azure) for secure, scalable platform services, including core networking, compute, and storage
- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes; EKS/AKS) for microservices and edge/IoT deployments.
- Domain knowledge in mobile radio and SDR and exposure to 5G/6G technologies, protocols, and test/measurement workflows is a plus.
- Deep familiarity with modern engineering practices (Agile, Lean, Scrum) and DevOps principles.
- High level of self-motivation, conceptual strength, and strong results orientation.
