We are seeking an experienced EPC Project Manager to join our Business Unit Catalysts team in Business Segment Ethylene. In this global role, you will be responsible for ensuring Clariant's successful participation in new projects in the petrochemicals industry with process licensors, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partners, and petrochemical producers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage Clariant`s contribution in such complex, long-term projects with significant business impact
Responsibilities
- Drive Clariant's participation in new projects business for Business Segment Ethylene projects with process licensors, EPC partners, and petrochemical producers
- Track these projects and manage external and internal stakeholders from intention to build to delivery and start-up of the first catalyst fill
- Develop and maintain long-term new projects business plans
- Build strong relationships with major process licensors and EPC project execution teams
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure accurate representation in our IT systems
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Technology Advisors, and Clariant’s ACT team to ensure technical alignment and up to date technical design proposals
- Coordinate with regional sales teams to prepare commercial first fill sales
- Overseeing projects with 5-7 year duration involving volatile external organizations and stakeholders
Requirements
- Qualification Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 10+ years of industry experience with both technical and commercial background
- Fluent English at negotiation level
- Formal training or proven track record in Project Management
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong intercultural competence and effectiveness in a global environment
- Experience in commercial project-based sales role
- Solid technical knowledge in petrochemical processes and applications
- Ability to lead without formal authority
- Strategic thinking and planning capabilities
- Adaptability to changing project priorities and stakeholder needs
