Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Business Unit Head is responsible for the leadership of the Oncology Business Unit in Germany. The incumbent has responsibility for ensuring all activities are executed in accordance with regulatory and legal frameworks including but not limited to local legislation and guidelines, as well as Jazz Pharmaceuticals Policies and Healthcare compliance procedures.
Serves as a key strategic member of the German Leadership Team, shaping the overall direction and success of the organization.
Represents the German Oncology business at the leadership level, advocating for resources and support to achieve ambitious business goals.
Holds full P&L accountability for the German Oncology business, ensuring delivery of financial and operational objectives.
Defines the long-term strategic vision and leads the development and execution of annual and multi-year business plans, aligning local strategies with EU/International priorities.
Oversees product launches, lifecycle management, and go-to-market strategies to maximize market impact.
Drives digital innovation and adoption of data-driven decision-making across commercial functions.
Implements robust performance management processes to set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and support employee development and growth.
Regularly engages with senior functional leaders and customers to shape strategic plans and elevate the German team’s impact.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
Leads robust, data-driven business reviews to monitor performance, gather stakeholder feedback, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Drives operational efficiency through initiatives in cost control, revenue optimization, legal compliance, and HR management.
Coordinates with internal departments—especially Medical Affairs and Market Access—to ensure effective governance and operational excellence.
Ensures full compliance with all regulatory, legal, and ethical standards.
Skilled in talent management, with a strong ability to recruit, retain, and develop top-performing individuals and cohesive teams.
Strategic and operational agility, combining high-level vision with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to execution.
Innovative mindset, with a track record of creating impactful programs and materials that support HCPs and commercial teams—e.g., Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Fluent in German and English, with excellent command of both languages in professional settings.
Strong preference for a Science or Business Graduate
