As an FPGA & ASIC Verification Engineer (m/f/d), you will have a strong hands-on mentality and make a significant contribution to the successful implementation of challenging development projects. The position can be filled either in Munich or Graz.
YOUR TASKS
- Build, own, and continuously improve the verification environment for FPGA and ASIC projects (UVM, cocotb, mixed-language setups) – with ASIL-D rigor from day one
- Develop and execute verification strategies aligned with ISO 26262 functional safety requirements
- Define and achieve functional coverage goals to ensure uncompromising product quality
- Create stimuli, monitors, and checkers for complex system-level verification
- Drive simulation and verification flows, including CI/CD automation
- Actively shape the architecture and methodology of our verification frameworks – this is not optional, it’s your mission
- Collaborate closely with design, software, and algorithm teams to define and verify specifications
- Support lab bring-up and hardware debug for new prototypes
- Play a key role in defining and delivering the Pulsetrain chip – a game-changing automotive-grade component for next-generation smart battery systems
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
- Proven experience in FPGA and/or ASIC development – with a strong focus on digital verification
- Excellent skills in SystemVerilog and/or VHDL
- Hands-on experience with verification methodologies such as UVM, cocotb, or similar frameworks
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 processes and ASIL-D verification requirements
- Proficiency with simulation and debug tools, including timing analysis
- Skilled in building automated testbenches and regression environments
- Confident in collaborating with architecture, algorithm, and software teams
- Ideally familiar with multiple FPGA families (Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Lattice, Efinix)
- Experience with ASIC verification flows is a strong plus
- Passion for multidisciplinary projects in power electronics and embedded systems
