Your tasks
- You will be part of the hardware development team, working closely with other low-level software developers and functional safety engineers to jointly realise a fully functional robot.
- You are responsible for implementing safe and non-safe low-level software modules in the existing framework and ensure that they comply with applicable standards.
- You create specifications for complex software modules, including their interfaces and test criteria, for external developers.
- You perform functional testing and troubleshooting directly on our autonomous lift trucks and robots.
- You take responsibility for your work packages through to product integration, keeping an eye on quality and time.
- You supervise the products from the prototype phase through pre-series production to serial production, testing and documenting changes.
Requirements
- You have successfully completed a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field of study.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in PLC software development and hardware-software integration.
- You convince with profound PLC programming skills in CODESYS / IEC 61131-3 for safe control systems with SIL/PL.
- You have experience in the specification and validation of software modules, ideally based on the V-model in accordance with ISO 13849-1.
- You have experience with field buses (ideally CANopen) and sensor-actuator integration.
- Ideally, you also have experience in the following areas:
- Unit testing for CODESYS Scripting Engine
- Programming in Python, C++
- Standards: ISO 3691-4, EN 1175, EN ISO 13849
- You are able to structure your work, manage dependencies to other teams and remove impediments on the road.
- You are keen to write clear technical documentation and work with software version control.
- You are fluent in English, German is a plus.
- The job is mostly done on-site, so ideally you live in/close to Munich.
