Purpose
You’ll break new ground by
- Strategic Vision & Roadmap for Sales AI
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of AI/ML opportunities specifically within the sales domain, defining a clear roadmap for AI-powered sales transformation that aligns with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless adoption and alignment of AI tools with existing sales processes.
- Continuously evaluate and refine AI applications to ensure they contribute effectively to the sales objectives and provide substantial value.
- Sales Process Optimization & AI Integration
- Deeply analyze existing sales processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for AI/ML intervention, designing solutions that seamlessly integrate with and enhance current sales operations and systems.
- Identify opportunities to use digital tools to streamline and optimize sales processes.
- Implement automation solutions to reduce manual efforts and increase sales productivity.
- Work closely with sales teams to gather feedback and refine digital tools to better meet their needs.
- Predictive Lead Scoring & Prioritization: Optimizing lead qualification, routing, and conversion rates within our CRM (e.g., Salesforce Sales Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales) and marketing automation platforms.
- Sales Forecasting & Pipeline Health: Enhancing accuracy of pipeline predictions, identifying deals at risk, and recommending proactive interventions directly within CRM forecasting modules.
- Personalized Sales Engagement: Developing AI-supported recommendations for optimal content, timing, and messaging within sales engagement platforms (e.g., Salesloft, Outreach) and CRM communication tools.
- Churn Prediction & Upsell/Cross-sell Identification: Employing customer data within CRM and customer success platforms to proactively identify retention risks and enhance customer lifetime value.
- Call Intelligence & Sales Coaching: Using AI to analyze sales conversations from tools like Outreach, identifying standards, and providing personalized coaching recommendations to sales managers and reps.
- Automated Sales Playbook Optimization: Designing AI models to recommend next-best actions, content, or sales plays based on deal stage, customer interaction, and historical success.
- CRM Data Hygiene & Automation: Implementing AI solutions to reduce manual data entry, improve data quality, and automate routine tasks within the CRM.
- Data Engineering & Management for Sales Data: Collaborate with data engineers to ensure the availability, quality, and integration of critical sales data from various sources (CRM, sales engagement platforms, sales enablement systems, CPQ, ERP, external data).
- Model Deployment & ML Ops: Implement and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML models, ensuring their stable deployment, continuous monitoring, maintenance, and seamless integration with core sales applications and workflows.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with Siemens Corporate, Sales Strategy & Operations, Sales Enablement, Sales Leadership, Foundational Sales, Marketing, and IT teams to understand business needs, gather requirements, and ensure successful adoption and integration of AI solutions within the sales ecosystem.
- Performance Measurement & ROI: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (benchmarks) for AI-driven sales initiatives, demonstrating tangible business value and return on investment directly tied to sales process efficiency and revenue generation.
- Research & Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML, sales technology trends, and emerging sales methodologies, evaluating new tools, techniques, and platforms for potential application.
Your success is grounded in
- Education
- Master's degree or Ph.D. or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience & Skills
- Multi-year experience in AI/ML development, with at least 3-5 years specifically focused on applying AI/ML solutions within a sales, sales operations, or sales enablement context.
- Domain Expertise (Critical)
- Deep and practical understanding of the end-to-end sales lifecycle, common sales methodologies and sales process optimization.
- Proven hands-on experience working extensively with and using enterprise CRM systems as a primary data source, integration point, and deployment environment for AI solutions.
- Strong familiarity with and understanding of other key sales technologies, including Sales Engagement Platforms (SEPs like Salesloft, Outreach), Enablement Platforms (SEPs like Highspot, Seismic), Conversation Intelligence tools (Gong, Chorus), and CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) systems.
- Ability to identify sales process bottlenecks, understand sales team difficulties, and translate these into actionable AI-optimized solutions.
- Strong understanding of various machine learning techniques (e.g., supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning, deep learning, NLP, time series analysis).
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail, specifically in the context of sales performance and process improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to sales leaders and operational teams, and influence decision-making.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in collaborating across teams and departments.
- Expertise in demonstrating data-driven insights to enhance sales processes and customer interactions.
