HiWi for AI Agents

The Chair of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Real-time Systems at the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology (Prof. Knoll) is looking for enthusiastic students interested in the development of AI agents and applications of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision-Language Models (VLMs).

AI agents powered by foundation models have recently demonstrated strong capabilities in reasoning, planning, perception, and interaction with complex environments. This position focuses on exploring how LLMs and VLMs can be integrated into agent architectures for decision-making, tool use, and multimodal understanding in real-world or simulated scenarios.

The goal of this HiWi position is to support ongoing research on LLM/VLM-based AI agents. The work will involve literature surveys, system design, implementation of agent pipelines, and the development of interactive demonstrations or benchmarks.
