Your Responsibilities
- You will automate related business processes with the help ofdata science methods like classification, clustering, or named entity recognition on text and images
- As part of your role, you'll experiment with machine learning algorithms in the field NLP, manage your training experiments with modern MLOps frameworks and thereby help lifting our product to the next level
- Staying up to date with the latest developments in machine learning, you will discuss with your team how we can make use of e.g. generative AI models like transformers
- You will not only analyze and preprocess related data pools, make decisions on the correct modelling and validate your models but also embed them in production-ready microservices and integrate them autonomously into the existing product and software platform
- You will collaborate directly with IT developers and product managers in a cross-disciplinary team
Your Qualifications
- Master’s degree in physics, mathematics, data science, statistics, computer science, business informatics or related fields
- Enthusiasm for the application of mathematics and machine learning technology to make our financial products faster, better and even more convenient to use
- First experience and strong working knowledge in data wrangling, manipulation, visualization, machine learning, and deep learning using libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, LightGBM, TensorFlow, etc.
- Solid Python programming and software engineering skills; ideally, experience with REST frameworks like FastAPI, and additional frameworks/tools such as Docker, Streamlit, MLflow, Grafana etc.
- Creativity and curiosity to apply cutting-edge algorithms from the data science field to our products (e.g., LSTMs, transformers)
- High motivation to work in agile and cross-disciplinary teams and to share knowledge inside the CHECK24 data science community
- Fluent spoken and written English skills. German skills are beneficial but not mandatory
