Activities
At Beroe X nnamu, our Lead/Senior Frontend Software Engineer will drive innovation in our products by:
- Architecting and developing our core frontend features using React, with a focus on our [specific product/platform] infrastructure
- Leading the evolution of our TypeScript-based component library that powers experiences for millions of users
- Implementing micro-frontend architecture to support our rapidly scaling distributed teams
- Optimizing our applications for exceptional performance, achieving sub-second load times and 99.9% uptime
- Championing accessibility standards (WCAG) to ensure our products serve all users effectively
- Building and maintaining our design system in collaboration with our UX team
- Leading code reviews and architectural decisions for our frontend platform
- Mentoring our growing team of frontend engineers through knowledge sharing and pair programming
Technical responsibilities include:
- Expert-level development with our core stack: React, TypeScript, Next.js
- Performance optimization and monitoring
- Integration with our REST API layer and backend services
- Maintaining our comprehensive test suite (Jest, Testing Library, Cypress)
- Contributing to our CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions
- Collaborating with our product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences
Requirements
Must-have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in frontend development with expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
- Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub)
- Proven ability to architect and develop advanced frontend features
- Experience with automated testing (Jest, Testing Library, Cypress) and CI/CD pipelines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement micro-frontend architectures
- Build modular, reusable component libraries
- Optimize applications for performance, accessibility, and scalability
- Ensure code quality through reviews and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Mentor junior engineers
Nice-to-have Qualifications:
- Experience with Next.js and modern frontend build tools
- Knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- Experience with UX/UI design implementation
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Experience in full-stack development with Python and Node.js
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Experience with UX research and design thinking
