Your New Role
We are looking for a passionate and data-driven Marketing Retention Specialist to join the HBO Max Germany team. This role sits within the EMEA Retention team , reporting into the EMEA Retention CRM Director . You will play a key role in launching HBO Max in the German market and driving ongoing customer engagement and retention. With a strong focus on CRM, you will design and execute campaigns that keep our users excited, loyal, and deeply connected to our stories.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Develop and execute CRM and retention campaigns for HBO Max Germany, across email, push notifications, and in-app messaging.
- Partner with CRM, Brand, Content, Product, and Analytics teams to deliver personalized, data-driven customer journeys.
- Monitor performance metrics, analyze customer behavior, and optimize campaigns for engagement and churn reduction.
- Support the launch of HBO Max in Germany by building effective onboarding flows and winback strategies.
- Explore innovative retention mechanics such as gamification, loyalty perks, and localized campaigns tailored to the German market.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across EMEA to share best practices and implement region-wide retention initiatives.
- Stay on top of industry trends in streaming, digital marketing, and entertainment to continuously evolve our approach.
Skills and Experience Required
- Min 2 years of experience in CRM, retention marketing, or lifecycle management, preferably in streaming, digital, or subscription-based businesses.
- Passionate about entertainment, streaming, and digital storytelling.
- Curious, creative, and eager to experiment with new ideas while staying data-driven.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using CRM platforms and analytics tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, fluent in English and German.
