Candidates should hold an outstanding M.Sc. degree from an internationally renowned research institution and demonstrate a strong interest in research. A proven track record of scientific work, such as prior publications, is beneficial. We particularly value a solid theoretical foundation in , , or , combined with - in working with robotic systems such as humanoids, autonomous vehicles, manipulators, or quadrupeds.
The PhD focuses on safe and reliable loco-manipulation for mobile and interactive robots such as humanoids. While learning-based methods enable advanced locomotion and manipulation, deploying them safely in real-world environments remains challenging. The research aims to develop a framework for - .
