Start date:
Duration: 1.5 years (with possibility of extension)
Employment volume: 100% of standard working time
Salary: E13 TV-L (in accordance with the German TV-L salary scale)

Postdoctoral Researcher for Synthesis in Molecular Inorganic Chemistry

Project Description
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on the synthesis and characterization of soluble silicon clusters . The project is experimentally oriented and suited for candidates with a strong background in synthetic inorganic or organometallic chemistry .The main focus of this position is research in inorganic and organometallic chemistry
- Duration: 1.5 years (extension possible)
- Location: Technical University of Munich, Garching, Germany
- Salary: E13 TV-L (100%), according to the German public service salary scale
Responsibilities
- Planning and conducting inorganic and organic chemical syntheses
- Independent and creative development of the research project
- Evaluation and interpretation of experimental results
- Presentation of results in group meetings and conferences
- Preparation of publications
- Maintenance of laboratory standards and equipment
- Co-supervision and teamwork with students
- German language skills are an advantage but not required
Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry
- Experience in preparative inorganic and/or organometallic chemistry
- Experience with functionalization and characterization methods
- Experience with inert-gas techniques (Schlenk line, glove box)
- Experience with standard analytical methods (NMR, MS, IR, UV/Vis)
