Routine Operations Support (ROS) Engineer (m/f/d)
Your Tasks
We are
seeking a highly motivated and problem-solving oriented engineer to join our
Electro and Functional Systems Engineering team as FDIR / Operational Engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible of the Routine Operations Support
(ROS) of Satellite Payloads during flight operations.
During
phase E:
- Support LEOP and Commissioning activities
- Coordinate investigations in response to anomalies (via ARI/NCR)
- Analyse telemetry and operational data to identify root causes with the support of Engineering Team
- Prepare root causes analysis and propose way forward / recovery strategy to be presented during NRBs with stakeholders. Maintain outcomes documentation and NRBs minutes of meetings
- Support updates and validation of operational procedures with the help of the Satellite Engineering Model
- Maintain the Satellite Engineering Model by performing regular health checks. Report any model degradation and coordinate repair activities when needed
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Satellite operations. Create and update HK parameter lists, monitoring tables and Satmon displays
The engineer might also be involved during phase B2CD:
- Define and refine the Instrument Concept of Operation, based on customer requirements, company heritage, and maintain documentation (e.g. FDIR Concept and Implementation, Design Description, Flight Operational Manual and Flight Procedures, IRDB/SRDB, …)
- Define and be responsible for Electro and Functional verification activities (Test Bench, Test Specifications, Test Monitoring and Execution, Test Report, Test Scripts … ). Contribute to TRRs, PTR and TRBs
- Define operational constraints and generate automated health status reports. Collaborate to define telemetry parameters for anomaly detection and support development of predictive analytics tools
Your Qualifications
- University/polytechnic degree or PhD in Physics or Engineering, ideally in Systems Engineering with a focus on one or more Electro-Functional disciplines
- Professional experience in Satellite Operation, FDIR, Telemetry Analysis and Technical Management for space projects
- Good understanding of Instrument/Payload Systems Architecture
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organized and structured approach to tasks with a high degree of motivation
- Strong focus on achieving progress through solution-oriented thinking, with the ability to meet goals under schedule pressure
- Strong communication skills, combined with the ability to work effectively in international and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in leading Engineering Team, or Suppliers
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; German language skills are a plus
