Our client, a global, dynamic and innovative organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Finance team.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified Accounting professional with strong HGB expertise to take responsibility for preparing statutory accounts and supporting international group reporting.

The role offers exposure to both HGB and IFRS, providing a strong platform for professional development in a multinational environment.

As Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in preparing and publishing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:

• Preparing statutory financial statements under HGB and contributing to IFRS group reporting

• Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes

• Ensuring compliance with Accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls

• Liaising with external auditors and local authorities during audits and reviews

• Assisting with process improvements and supporting system-related enhancements

• Working closely with Finance colleagues and cross-functional teams to provide accurate reporting and analysis

Candidate profile:

• Qualified Accountant with strong German GAAP (HGB) knowledge - IFRS exposure an advantage

• Background in a Big 4 audit firm or equivalent professional environment

• 5 years’ experience in Audit, Accounting, or Financial Reporting

• Strong technical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

• Fluent in German and English
