YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You build software using the Java tech stack
• You are responsible for designing, building, and evolving customer-facing distributed systems for our platform in the cloud
• You work on event-driven systems and keep yourself up to date with the latest technologies to help you create scalable and resilient software
• You build APIs and tooling that power both consumer-facing and internal-facing products
• You build it, you run it, you own it: You have end-to-end responsibility for building your service, running, testing, deploying, and monitoring it
• You work in a diverse, international team using agile methodologies, constantly striving to improve team collaboration and processes

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• You successfully completed your university degree in Computer Science or similar, and you gained experience in Java and Spring Boot
• You have designed distributed systems or have worked on Microservices architectures
• You have extensive experience in Kubernetes, AWS services, Kafka, relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), designing APIs via gRPC and REST, and a good understanding of event-driven platforms
• You have experience with observability tools for monitoring services (metrics, logs, alerts, etc.)
• You have concise communication skills and enjoy working with technical as well as non-technical stakeholders
