Used by leading corporates, Pactos help streamline the source-to-pay process with staffing providers in a compliant, scalable, and transparent way. • Architect our Application: Independently design, develop, and optimize modern web applications with a focus on the backend.
• End-to-End Ownership: Manage the complete development lifecycle - from requirements analysis to testing and deployment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, product, and other engineering teams to continually refine the system architecture.
• System Optimization & Scaling: Establish best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Technical Leadership: Contribute to technical decisions, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing and excellence.

• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack / backend development with a strong command of modern back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python)
• Demonstrated ability to build scalable, high-performance web applications and implement effective optimization strategies
• Experience in agile development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing to ensure rapid, reliable delivery
• Proficiency in backend frameworks and the integration of RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and caching techniques
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a passion for clean, maintainable code
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and glue work
• Highly motivated and proactive, eager to take ownership of the full domain and follow through in a fast-paced, aspiring startup environment
• Fluency in English and good command of German
