Are you ready to take on a role where your expertise in oxygen and pneumatic systems shapes the next generation of aviation? My client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Development Engineer to join their team.
This position offers the chance to work on complex system development projects where your knowledge of oxygen systems, industry standards, and certification requirements will be key. You will take responsibility for technical development, supplier coordination, system integration, and project delivery from concept through to certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the development and integration of oxygen systems within the aircraft
- Identify and coordinate with suitable suppliers, ensuring the best components and materials are selected
- Perform system performance calculations, hazard analyses, and prepare compliance documentation for certification
- Define system test plans and procedures for qualification and production testing
- Ensure all safety standards and regulatory requirements are met
- Act as technical lead across project teams, production, and maintenance functions for prototypes and test systems
- Prepare detailed requirements and specifications for system integration into cabin equipment
- Manage project milestones, critical path analyses, and ensure successful delivery of system solutions
- Develop solutions for in-service systems and fleet support issues
What you'll need to bring:
- A degree in engineering (Bachelor's or Master's)
- 10+ years of professional experience in aviation
- Strong expertise in oxygen and pneumatic systems, including SAE standards and DO-160 qualifications
- Experience with system performance calculations, hazard analyses, and compliance documentation
- Hands-on involvement in aircraft development programmes
- Familiarity with simulation software is an advantage
- Excellent English communication skills
