We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager Automation (m/f/d) to take full ownership of complex, large-scale automation projects for international cash-center operations, with a strategic focus on Eastern Europe. In this position, you will be responsible for leading cross-disciplinary engineering teams, managing global suppliers and stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of tailored automation solutions that meet stringent quality, budget and timeline expectations. This role requires a technically strong leader who enjoys working in diverse cultural environments, operates with an entrepreneurial mindset, and brings the confidence to navigate demanding customer landscapes across multiple countries.
Aufgabenfeld
• Full responsibility for the technical, commercial and organizational delivery of international automation projects
• Management of the complete project life cycle including planning, engineering, implementation, commissioning and handover
• Development of automation layouts, IT concepts, risk analyses, functional specifications and engineering documentation
• Steering of mechanical, electrical, software and IT engineering disciplines
• Coordination with internal specialists to refine concepts, layouts, drawings and system architectures
• Ensuring alignment with customer requirements, compliance standards and regional regulations
• Management of suppliers, contractors, architects, construction partners and IT integrators
• Proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Conflict resolution, issue escalation and risk mitigation to ensure project stability
• Leading international, cross-functional project teams
• Ensuring transparency through structured reporting and clear communication flows
• Representing the project towards customers, internal leadership and global partners
Anforderungsprofil
• Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, computer science or a related field
• Strong technical understanding across mechanics, electrics, software and IT
• Proven track record in managing large international automation or industrial plant projects
• Experience working in Eastern European markets (e.g., Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan etc.) is highly advantageous
• Solid knowledge of AutoCAD and modern project management tools Skills & Competencies
• Excellent project management capabilities, ideally PMP/PRINCE2 certified
• Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to recognize complex dependencies and translate them into actionable solutions
• Structured, proactive, entrepreneurial working style with strong ownership mindset
• Excellent command of English and Russian (mandatory)
• High willingness to travel: 60–70%, primarily within Eastern Europe
