This role will be part of the Risk & Security Tower for Group Technology, which ensures effective risk and security management across Munich Re. The Tower enables Ambition 2025 and future growth by providing cyber protection for entities, cloud environments, and third-party ecosystems—adapting to evolving threats, technologies, and regulations. It defines, monitors, and delivers global IT security services in alignment with the risk appetite of Munich Re and the ERGO Group.
The Senior IT / IT Security Strategist is part of the Security Mission Control team within the Operating Office & Transformation Section of Group Technology –Risk & Security. The role is specifically responsible for the development and delivery of the Group Risk & Security strategy, owns Group Risk & Security innovation matters, manages the develop and maintenance of Group Risk & Security service roadmaps in partnership with security service owners and manages related interlocks with key stakeholders.
The Security Mission Control team is the enabler and accelerator for driving the Group Risk & Security mission by building sustainable run & change capabilities and connecting the dots between demand/risk, priorities/capacities/budgets, and strategic change management. The Group Risk & Security strategy and the consecutive roadmaps are the foundation of operations as well as of the project portfolio which delivers internal and external commitments as well as continuous security service maturity improvements.
