Join us in building the operating system for modern cities.
As a Software Engineer (all genders), you'll support our mission to empower cities with the tools they need to take effective climate action. Features you’ll work on include digital collaboration tools and sophisticated business logic, incl. AI components. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a talented and driven engineering team, contribute to real-world climate tech projects, and grow your skills in a fast-paced startup environment.
Your challenge:
As part of the Engineering team, you’ll get hands-on experience with real products and shape the future of our climate action platform. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Full-Stack Development: Collaborate on building and improving our web applications, from frontend features to backend services, while learning best practices along the way.
- Learn and Contribute to Our Tech Stack: Dive into our early-stage technology stack and contribute to tools and features that matter.
- Work on Infrastructure and Data: Assist with setting up infrastructure, working with databases, and exploring how data flows through our system.
- Embrace Software Engineering Fundamentals: Work in an environment that values clean, scalable code and supports your learning journey in software development.
Tech Stack
We’re still early in our tech journey, so there's plenty of room to explore and make your mark:
- Frontend: React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui, React query
- Backend: Typescript, Nestjs
- Infrastructure: OpenStack, Docker, Terraform, Redis, Nginx

We’re looking for someone curious, motivated, and eager to learn. Here’s what helps you succeed:
- Coding Skills: Experience with modern web technologies like JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and React but also backend frameworks like Express, NestJs. Ideally more than 5 years of experience.
- Eagerness to Learn: You’re excited to experiment with new tools and deepen your understanding of software development.
- Interest in Climate Tech: You care about building products that make a real-world impact.
- Team Player: You enjoy working with others and are open to feedback and growth.
- Startup Curiosity: You thrive in a fast-paced startup setting, embracing limited resources as an opportunity to innovate. Bonus points if you have experience in early-stage startups.
- Language Proficiency: Advanced German and English skills are essential. Advanced in German is critical to understand our business logic.
