Your Tasks

Team Leadership

• Professional and disciplinary management of a team of electronics design engineers
• Point of contact at OHB for electronics design-related questions
• Planning the staff deployment to projects and support recruitment activities
• Providing tutoring and organizing trainings for the team members
• Conducting yearly employee dialogues with the team members for the definition of targets and performance assessment
• Actively participating in the definition and continuous improvement of the design process applied in the team.
• Development of strategic competencies/technologies within the field of electronics
• Reporting to the head of the department "Electronic Systems"

Technical Responsibilities within Projects

• Leading electronic systems projects and conducting electronics design tasks
• Review of design and manufacturing documentation created by the team members
• Coordinating engineering activities from other disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Analysis, Structural Analysis as needed in the frame of electronic systems designs
• Preparing electronics design and manufacturing documentation
• Supporting the preparation of OHB proposals concerning electronics activities for internal and external customers

Your Qualifications

• University degree in electronics engineering, or related fields
• More than 8 years of professional experience in the field of electronics design for space projects
• Profound experience and expertise in mixed signal electronics design and verification for high resolution and high-speed image acquisition
• Experience in the definition, planning, and execution of performance tests of complex electronic systems and the design of EGSE
• Experience in the technical management of design teams in the role of a system engineer
• Experience in designing test setups for mixed signal electronic components (e.g. ADCs and DACs)
• Knowledge of the relevant standards acc. to ECSS or MIL for electronic engineering and design
• Considerable leadership and strong ability to make decisions
• Experience in using the PADS Standard and PADS professional CAD Software
