Our R&D department develops technologies for the future of predictive maintenance on an industrial scale. In our work, we create technology with purpose. Therefore, we innovate in the field of plant and control technology, process monitoring as well as in materials engineering.

 

What you'll love about us 

• Your thesis will focus on the development of intelligent solution for digital manufacturing technologies.
• First, you will get to know about the Siemens industrial data spaces and learn how to use the Siemens industrial edge device and its data interfaces
• You will develop and implement a system architecture and data mining concepts to enable federated learning in a edge-cloud scenario.
• Afterwards you will validate your application with our partners and with real industrial manufacturing data.x

 

You’ll create impact by

• You are currently enrolled in a technical or scientific degree such as computer science, games engineering or engineering sciences
• You have good experience in programming (ideally Python) and are familiar with AI workflows and frameworks (e.g. pytorch, MLOps, ...)
• You enjoy scientific work and are characterized by a structured and independent way of working
• Very good written and oral English or German skills are required
