Job Description
We are looking for reinforcements
Are you interested in data that really makes a difference? Then join us as a working student in data science, analyzing user behavior, developing personalized recommendations, and building smart data models for our app.
Your tasks
- As part of our Shared Services team, you'll be at the heart of the action and delve deep into our user and business data.
- You provide insights that make a difference – and with your analyses, you ensure that we can plan our next steps smartly and based on data.
- Using technologies such as Python, SQL, Airflow, and various AI tools, you can bring order to data chaos and use your visualizations to provide clarity even on tricky topics.
- Whether personalized recommendations, smart chatbots, or reports with real added value – together with your team, you bring data-driven ideas to life and develop features that actively improve the user experience for millions of people.
- If you really want to get started: Take on smaller analysis projects independently, where you can contribute your ideas, assume responsibility, and further develop your skills in a practical context.
Your profile
- You are studying data science, statistics, computer science, business informatics, or similar and have 20 hours per week to work with us on exciting data projects.
- Numbers, patterns and relationships are exactly your thing: You think analytically and quickly find the common thread in complex data sets.
- By confidently using at least one tool or language such as Python, R or SQL, you will have the necessary technical foundation to carry out analyses independently.
- Independent, structured work is just as important to you as the ability to actively approach colleagues and provide feedback in exchange.
- Thanks to your excellent German skills (at least C1) and your fluent English, you can communicate content clearly and communicate effectively across team boundaries. Since our content is in German, it's important that you feel confident in the German language.
- Nice to have: Initial experience with BI tools or an introduction to cluster analyses – not a must, but definitely a bonus.

About Us
We all have to make financial decisions throughout our lives. From our first checking account or cell phone contract to the right insurance policies and major life decisions, such as buying a property or planning for retirement. But who can explain how it all works in a simple and understandable way? Who can tell you what really makes sense for you – and what you should stay away from? That's exactly what Finanztip is for.
Our mission is to make personal finances as simple as possible. So that you can handle them yourself. Through well-researched guides, easy-to-understand step-by-step instructions, and concrete product recommendations you can rely on. Because Finanztip is not an ordinary company: We are part of the non-profit Finanztip Foundation. Its mission is to promote financial education in Germany. All profits distributed by Finanztip go to the foundation and are used for charitable projects – such as our educational initiative Finanztip School.
