Investment Associate Venture Capital (f/m/d) at May Ventures

Aufgaben

As Investment Associate, you will support us in

• Sourcing deals through data-driven methods and via your network. Discovering promising companies and deeply understanding their businesses becoming a subject matter expert in a chosen space.
• Support and lead deal making processes including research and analyses, due diligence, reference calls, term and contract negotiations and preparation of investment memos.
• Managing portfolio companies including the participation in board meetings, reporting, and support in their company-building journey (e.g. follow-on investment rounds and exits).
• Supporting the fund management with the marketing of the fund, fundraising, event planning etc.
• Attending industry events to extend our network and brand within the community, while forming relationships within founders’ and investors’ community.
• Develop your own investor style, by testing your own initiatives, leveraging your entrepreneurial mindset, and actively contributing to growing an outstanding early-stage venture capital fund.

Qualifikation

The requirements for this role:

• Graduate or experienced: Up to 2 years of professional experience within venture capital as an analyst OR from a tech-driven start-up/grownup within a product, sales/biz-dev/growth, engineering, or founder/cofounder role OR from a top management consulting or investment banking (PE, M&A, etc.) firm with first exposure to VC. Some VC experience is preferred.
• High academic achievements: A university degree (Bachelor, Master, PhD) in a field such as Business, Finance, Economics, Law or a technical background (i.e. Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science).
• AI Shaper: Experienced in AI and in building agentic workflows is a huge plus.
• International and multicultural mindset/background. Strong command of the English and German language
