As a Senior International Strategy & Expansion Manager, you will be part of the team driving yfood’s global growth and establishing the brand in new markets. Working closely with the Head of International Expansion, you will take on early ownership of individual markets — from strategic development and operational rollout to full P&L responsibility.

You will shape yfood’s international strategy — from market analysis & pricing strategies to business case modeling, bringing structure and insight into every growth decision.

Also, you will collaborate with distributors and local partners to build new markets, ensure sustainable growth, and strengthen yfood’s global presence.

Your Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of market expansion and day-to-day operations in close alignment with the Head of International Expansion
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and identify, evaluate, and onboard local distribution partners
  • Build scalable structures and processes to support international growth
  • Support negotiations, contract development, and commercial (P&L) steering
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Product) to ensure smooth market launches
  • Conduct ongoing market analyses, evaluate performance data, prepare reports and derive strategic & actionable recommendations

This role is perfect for someone with a consulting background who thrives on structure and analysis — but is now ready to build something from the ground up. You combine strategic thinking with entrepreneurial drive, work data-driven, and never lose sight of pragmatic execution.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Excellent academic degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, Management, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of professional experience, ideally in strategy consulting, high growth startups or another high-performance environment
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills combined with a structured and data-driven working style
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with solid commercial acumen and a high degree of ownership
  • Hands-on attitude — you don’t just plan, you execute and make things happen
  • Passion for internationalization and building new markets from scratch
  • Excellent communication skills (C1) in English & German (additional languages are a plus)
  • Willingness to travel internationally when required
