For our Research & Development department at the Neckartenzlingen site, we are looking for a committed and experienced Senior Architect Electronics (m/f/d) to start immediately on a full-time, permanent basis.
In this key role, you will define the electronics architecture of our industrial communication products such as Ethernet switches, routers, firewalls and IO systems. You will actively shape technological standards, promote the reuse of hardware modules and drive innovative developments together with interdisciplinary teams, our Technology Office and other development sites.

Your tasks:
- You will create the concepts and define the electronic architecture of the industrial Ethernet switches/routers/firewalls and IO systems at the Neckartenzlingen site
- You will control and monitor the reuse and life cycle of hardware building blocks and critical components
- You will help to shape and improve our processes relating to electronics design, platform architecture, components, purchasing and production interfaces
- You monitor and evaluate relevant developments of new technologies in close coordination with our Technology Office and other development sites
- You ensure communication between our interdisciplinary agile product development teams regarding the above mentioned scopes
- You will work closely with the approval department, strategic purchasing, suppliers of core components and the operations department (e.g. Industrial Engineering)

Your profile:
- Completed studies with a focus on electrical engineering/communications engineering or similar
- Several years of professional experience in hardware-related product development, preferably as a lead engineer
- Experience in the practical application of platform concepts
- Knowledge of circuit development for complex products and EMC-compliant design, preferably using Altium Designer
- Knowledge of data communication, e.g. Ethernet and wireless LAN
- Ability to communicate complex interrelationships both verbally and in writing
- Good language skills in German and English
- Ability to work in a team and self-organization
