Seeking an Experienced Trade Control Specialist to join our Global Trade Controls team.
This role collaborates business units and other functions to develop and execute trade control (export and import) strategies. This includes understanding the end-users and products, analyzing export authorization requirements, obtaining required authorizations/licenses when required, and leveraging best practices to strategically manage risks. In addition, this role will help manage data privacy and other compliance requirements across our European offices.
The ideal candidate will be an innovative problem solver, demonstrate a global approach to work, & adaptable to changing needs. They will have a history of resilience in fast paced environments, be skilled at project management, and versatile in all forms of communication.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports development and execution of trade control strategies to enable the business
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with business partners and peers
Learns and understands complexities of diverse businesses and related trade compliance requirements
Supports development, implementation and administration of Regulations (EU) 201/821, German, Sweden, Denmark, UK, and Poland country specific export licenses throughout the export lifecycle
Identifies trade compliance risks and develops mitigation plans
Conducts global regulatory and statutory trade control requirements, interpretation and impact analysis
Support data privacy initiatives throughout Europe
Advise the business on privacy concerns in product development
Research and identifies regulatory and legislative requirements
Interfaces and provides comprehensive regulatory solutions to key stakeholders to enhance strategic alliances
This position is on a hybrid schedule. This means you will be required to perform some work onsite at the company’s Neu-Isenberg, Germany office. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in a role where meticulous attention to detail, with emphasis on accuracy and quality was paramount
3+ years of experience managing and organizing multiple deliverables and deadlines with minimal direction
3+ years of experience with Trade Control experience in Customs, of Regulations (EU) 201/821, German and Poland country specific requirements.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience writing trade control authorities / export licensing
3+ years of experience with of Regulations (EU) 201/821, German, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, and/or UK country specific requirements.
3+ years of experience participating on compliance assessment activities supporting global trade controls matters
Experience managing a GDPR program
Project Management Experience
Experience with flight planning software tools
Experience with software/IT, e-commerce background
Bachelor's degree
