Join our Data Center Thermal Solutions team and help design the next generation control systems that keep mission critical facilities running with maximum efficiency and reliability. You will work on advanced chiller plants, liquid cooling architectures, and integrated thermal platforms that support some of the world’s most demanding data center environments. Y ou will help develop next generation control systems that keep mission critical facilities running with maximum efficiency and reliability.
What You Will Do
Controls System Design & Development
- Design and implement control strategies for chiller plants, CDUs, and direct - to - chip liquid cooling systems
- Develop sequences of operation for cooling infrastructures supporting 150+ kW per rack
- Build intelligent control logic to optimize PUE and maintain ASHRAE compliant temperature & humidity compliant temperature & humidity
- Integrate and optimize controls across air cooled, liquid cooled, and hybrid systems cooled, liquid cooled , and hybrid systems
Technical Leadership
- Mentor junior engineers and field technicians, and collaborate closely with mechanical, applications, and product development teams
- Work directly with customers to translate requirements into robust control solutions
- Contribute to the standardization of control platforms and reusable code libraries
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Evaluate emerging technologies including AI/ML optimization, digital twins, and predictive controls
- Support development of fault detection & diagnostics (FDD)
- Document best practices and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
What You Bring
- Degree in Electrical / Controls Engineering (or related discipline)
- Strong background in HVAC / control systems
- Understanding of chiller plant controls, sequencing, and optimization
- Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA
- Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and P&IDs
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred
- Data center experience
- Exposure to liquid cooling systems (facility water loops, CDUs, cold plates)
- Experience with MATLAB Simulink, or similar modeling tools
