Your area of ​​responsibility
As an EHS Safety Engineer (m/f/d) at the 3M site in Neuss, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge in a targeted manner to advance our shared success. Your responsibilities will include:
Collaboration and support of the EHS manager at the Neuss RDO (Research, Development, Office) site and Hilden Pilot Plant.
Ensuring compliance with Sections 5 and 6 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Position as a technical expert for EMEA RDO facilities.
Promoting an EHS culture and developing EHS training.
Collaboration with employees at all levels and participation in EMEA EHS RDO events.
Implementation of improvements in EHS management systems and coordination with sites regarding local requirements.
Conducting risk assessments, accident investigations and providing support during audits.
Consulting on the procurement of equipment and the design of workplaces.

your qualification
Degree in safety engineering, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
Qualification as a "specialist for occupational safety" according to local occupational safety law
Experience in the manufacturing industry or in the field of occupational safety
Excellent listener and strong written and spoken communication skills in German and English.
Extensive experience in the field of EHS, preferably in an R&D setting.
Expertise in handling chemicals, PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, machine safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene and risk management
Auditor training or experience in conducting audits
Experience in collaborating with all levels of an organization
Strong prioritization skills
