Shape the future of industrial automation! We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer (m/f/d) in PLC programming to bring intelligent sheet metal processing machines to life with cutting-edge automation solutions – in close collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and software teams.

What you will be doing

• Design, program, and thoroughly test PLC-based control systems tailored for advanced industrial machinery.
• Develop and maintain robust automation architectures that align precisely with project goals and technical specifications.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers—to ensure seamless system integration.
• Provide hands-on support during commissioning and testing phases, both in laboratory settings and on-site at customer facilities.
• Manage and contribute to multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, and effective issue resolution.
• Act as a technical point of contact for resolving complex challenges in mechatronic systems and automation workflows.
• Stay current with the latest industry standards, tools, and emerging technologies in the field of industrial automation.

• You have a solid technical background, ideally with a degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science.
• You bring at least 4 years of experience in PLC software development and have hands-on knowledge of platforms such as Beckhoff TwinCAT, B&R, Siemens TIA Portal, or similar.
• You are familiar with fieldbus systems and communication protocols such as Profinet, EtherCAT, Modbus, and OPC UA.
• You have excellent written and spoken communication skills in both German and English

• You’re a true team player who enjoys working in interdisciplinary and international teams. You take initiative, assume responsibility, and actively contribute to shared goals.
• You have excellent analytical skills, work in a structured and solution-oriented manner, and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously without losing focus.
• You have experience working in agile environments and are familiar with tools like Git and Jira for planning and delivering incremental results.
• You work independently and demonstrate strong technical leadership. You document your work thoroughly, from detailed requirements to clear and concise release notes.
• You bring broad experience in engineering. While your main focus is on PLC programming, knowledge in other areas of software engineering – such as databases, web applications, or programming languages like C, C#, C++ – is a plus.
• You have excellent communication skills in both German and English, written and spoken
